$10.00
Sea Breeze Brine Soap is a unique, rejuvenating salt bar that contains unrefined grey sea salt, also known as Sel Gris. This high-quality mineral-rich salt is imported from Guérande, France, located southwest of Paris, where the salt marshes are particularly well-preserved and rich in algae, giving the salt its distinctive grey color. Grey salt is more beneficial for the skin than other refined salts because it is unrefined, retaining natural minerals such as magnesium, calcium, and potassium. These minerals help balance, soothe, and hydrate the skin.
The marshes are highly valued and have been awarded a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status by the European Union, ensuring the salt’s origin, quality, and traditional production methods are maintained. Additionally, international designations such as the Ramsar Convention (for wetlands of international importance) and Natura 2000 (which safeguards valuable habitats and species) are also in place.
Key Features and Benefits of Sea Breeze Brine Soap:
- Authentic Sel Gris: Harvested from clay-lined salt ponds in France, this unrefined salt is rich in natural oceanic minerals (magnesium, potassium, iodine, zinc) that are absorbed through the pores.
- Skin Improvement: Helps to detoxify, disinfect pores, and soothe skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema.
- Natural Exfoliation: The texture of wet, unrefined sea salt allows for effective removal of dead skin cells without the harsh, scratching, or tearing of sharp, dry, refined salt crystals.
- Skin Barrier Support: Improves blood circulation, aids in firming, toning, and reducing fine lines, while maintaining the skin's natural pH.
- Mineral-Rich Formulation: Combined with ingredients and essential oils to draw out impurities and provide a deep, refreshing cleanse. Grey salt’s high magnesium content helps reduce inflammation and support healthier and glowing skin.
- Eco-Friendly and Sustainable: Used as a natural, biodegradable exfoliant in homemade scrubs or mineral-rich baths and soaps.

Fresh & Natural Ingredients
Size: 4oz / 113g
Ingredients:
Unrefined French Sel Gris, coconut oil, olive oil, almond oil, grapeseed oil, castor oil, mallotus philippensis powder herb (aka monkey face), essential oil blend, distilled water, food-grade sodium hydroxide
- Coconut, olive, almond, grapeseed, and castor are super oils rich in nutrients and vitamins A-K, providing protection against the sun’s harmful UVA & B rays, retaining glow, tightening skin, treating acne, and delivering a moisturizing, creamy lather.
- Kaolin clay is the oldest type of clay used in many personal hygiene products; it detoxifies and promotes a firmer, more balanced complexion. Kaolin clay is gentle and promotes circulation to the area of application without over-drying.
- Mallotus Philippensis, also known as Kamala, is an herb powder from India that provides Sea Breeze its accent color. It’s a flowering tree whose fruit serves as a remedy for skin issues such as scabies or ringworms, as well as for dandruff, and acts as a natural conditioner for hair. It’s refreshing to know that many people use contact lenses, which can create bacteria. Sea Breeze Brine Soap bars work wonders when your eyes need a little rinsing, as Mallotus Philippensis is a treatment for parasites that live on our skin. Industrial uses include dyes and varnish, as the golden-red powder is used to color silk and wool, and is a component in rapid-drying paints and varnishes.
- Sel Gris (French grey sea salt) is a highly sustainable, eco-friendly choice harvested by hand from clay-lined, protected marshes in France using ancient, non-industrial techniques. This unrefined, mineral-rich salt is produced without chemicals or machines, preserving ocean ecosystems. It acts as a gourmet finisher for food, enhances soil health in compost, and offers a natural alternative to refined salt
- Essential oils are a blend of bergamot, eucalyptus, lemon, and lavender that creates a powerful, versatile aromatherapy combination designed to uplift mood, reduce stress, and promote physical wellness. As a refreshing decongestant, it makes it ideal for creating a spa-like atmosphere.
- Distilled water is purified to remove minerals and metals that can contaminate soap, developing what is known as “soap scrum”. This is what leads to ineffectiveness and a shorter shelf life. Using distilled water is a better ingredient when purity, consistency, and control over variables are important.
- Sodium hydroxide (Food-grade USP) is a strong alkaline compound used to saponify soap. It is also used in food processing, such as curing olives and making toothpaste, as well as giving shine to German Bagels. This same lye turns oils into soap. When an acid and a base (oil/fat) combine, they neutralize each other and make a salt called “Soap.
Usage Tips:
- It can be used on both the face and body.
- For best results on dark spots, leave the lather on for a few minutes to act as a mask.
