• Coconut, olive, almond, grapeseed, and castor are super oils rich in nutrients and vitamins A-K, providing protection against the sun’s harmful UVA & B rays, retaining glow, tightening skin, treating acne, and delivering a moisturizing, creamy lather.
• Kaolin clay is the oldest clay used in many personal hygiene products. It is gentle and stimulates circulation to the application area without over-drying.
• Red Sandalwood powder is an herbal ingredient that lends this wonderful soap its distinctive color. It nourishes skin cells and is safe for all skin types. It helps with blemishes and pigmentation and protects skin from the sun's damaging rays. In India, red sandalwood powder is known as Chandan, a term derived from an ancient Sanskrit scripture in Hinduism, and is considered holy and indispensable.
• Lavender essential oil is organic and sourced from Bulgaria, where the world's finest lavenders are cultivated, renowned for their rich medicinal properties and distinctive aroma. It’s not just any oil; it promotes cell growth when applied to wounds, helping them heal faster. With its antimicrobial qualities and protective properties, it helps scrapes and cuts heal without infection and reduces the appearance of scars. Lavender is so versatile that it can treat itchy and inflamed skin and is effective against acne, burns, eczema, sunburn, and seborrhea.
• Food-grade USP sodium hydroxide is a potent alkaline compound used to saponify soap. It is also used in food processing, such as curing olives, making toothpaste, and giving German Bagels a shine. This same lye turns oils into soap. When an acid and a base (oil/fat) combine, they neutralize each other and make a salt called “Soap.”
• Distilled water used in our plant-based soap is purified to remove minerals and metals that can contaminate soap, leading to “soap scrum” and reduced lather. This is what leads to ineffectiveness and a shorter shelf life. Using distilled water is a better ingredient when purity, consistency, and control over variables are important.
