This unique soap is infused with organic patchouli essential oil and crafted with natural, unrefined herbs, skin-safe oils, and unfiltered raw goat milk, when selected. Patchouli soap has a spectacular natural blue colorant from the Indigofera tinctoria plant (aka: indigo blue), an ancient herb native to India. This exquisite soap bar boasts a clean, rich scent that is earthy, woody, sweet, and musky. With moisturizing and rejuvenating properties, it benefits dry skin by stabilizing sebum production, unclogging pores with its natural nutrients, and exhibiting antibacterial properties. Additionally, this soap revitalizes dry skin, regulates sebum production, and enhances the aromatherapy experience, helping to balance stress, anxiety, and insomnia.

If selecting a goat milk soap bar, it is worth noting that it has gentle cleansing that will not strip skin of its natural oils, making it ideal for sensitive, dry, or damaged skin. Due to its high fat content, it is also ideal for those with eczema. Lactic acid in goat milk exfoliates skin and has a pH of 5.5 to 6.5, which is close to human skin pH. The nourishing fats and vitamins in goat milk (A, D, & E) strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier. Nourishing and protecting the skin barrier from harsh chemicals, parabens, and synthetic surfactants, making a healthier skin care selection.

Key Benefits & Features:

  • Nourishes, moisturizes, and rejuvenates dry skin while helping to stabilize sebum production.
  • Made with food-grade oils and organic patchouli essential oils. Goat milk offers gentle exfoliation with lactic acid, nourishing vitamins, and a creamy, hydrating lather that helps prevent the skin from drying out.
  • A strong, woody, and musky scent helps to balance stress and promote relaxation in aromatherapy.
  • Patchouli oil is used for its antibacterial properties and to soothe skin irritations.
  • Indigo blue (Indigofera tinctoria) contains powerful compounds called Indirubin and Tryptanthrin. These microbial properties are anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, and anti-angiogenic, soothing sensitive, irritated, or acne-prone skin, such as eczema and psoriasis, and promoting skin cell turnover for glowing skin.

The healthiest soap to use is usually a natural soap that doesn’t contain harsh chemicals, dyes, or synthetic fragrances that are irritants. Choosing soaps with moisturizing ingredients is especially beneficial for dry skin because these ingredients are hygroscopic, drawing and retaining moisture from the environment and increasing hydration.

Ingredients

coconut oil, olive oil, castor oil, almond oil, grapeseed oil, patchouli organic essential, Indigofera tinctoria herb powder, kaolin clay, food-grade sodium hydroxide, distilled water, or organic raw goat milk if selected

  • Coconut, olive, almond, grapeseed, and castor are super oils rich in nutrients and vitamins A-K, providing protection against the sun’s harmful UVA & B rays, retaining glow, tightening skin, treating acne, and delivering a moisturizing, creamy lather.
  • Kaolin clay is the oldest clay used in many personal hygiene products. It is gentle and stimulates circulation to the application area without over-drying.
  • If selected, organic raw goat milk is sourced from a cow sanctuary and bottled by Valley Simply Bottled (Raw Milk). Conventional raw goat milk is an A2 type, a standard term forunpasteurized or heat-treated raw goat milk that is free of toxins and preservatives. Goat milk is naturally rich in lactic acid, a form of Alpha-Hydroxy Acid (AHA) that exfoliates the skin’s outer layer to increase cell turnover by dissolving the “glue” holding dead skin cells to the surface. When this new layer is exposed, it becomes more vulnerable to sun damage. However, goat milk also contains selenium, a powerful trace mineral known as the ‘Selenium Shield,” along with vitamins A, D, and E, and fatty acids, which help restore the skin barrier by balancing pH levels, making it ideal for sensitive or dry skin. Alpha-hydroxy acids are essential for effective exfoliation, helping to combat signs of aging like wrinkles and fine lines, while selenium neutralizes free radicals, preventing premature aging, shielding against sun damage, and supporting the skin’s natural barrier. This combination offers a “renew and protect" approach—AHAs (Alpha-Hydroxy Acids) improve texture and tone, and selenium provides vital cellular defense against oxidative damage.
  • Patchouli organic essential oil is a certified organic oil sourced from Madagascar, Africa. With a rich, earthy, woody, sweet, and musky aroma, patchouli promotes spiritual balance. Helps clear clogged pores, reduce acne-causing bacteria, and treat skin infections. Its anti-inflammatory properties are highly effective for alleviating eczema, dermatitis, and psoriasis. An anti-aging product that promotes cell regeneration, which tightens pores, smooths skin texture, and reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Acts as a toner, helping to balance sebum production for both oily and dry skin, fostering a healthy, glowing skin.
  • Indigofera tinctoria is a botanical herb containing the organic alkaloid compounds Indirubin and Tryptanthrin.    It is used in traditional Chinese medicine for acute skin conditions such as psoriasis, soothing inflammation, providing antioxidant protection against UV radiation, and brightening and balancing skin tone. It is antibacterial and supports the skin barrier. Indigofera tinctoria is an ancient herb native to India, used since around 3000 BC. It is associated with royalty, mentioned in biblical accounts, and is famous for Levi Strauss’s dyed work jeans.
  • Distilled water is purified to remove minerals and metals that can contaminate soap, developing what is known as “soap scrum”. This is what leads to ineffectiveness and a shorter shelf life. Using distilled water is a better ingredient when purity, consistency, and control over variables are important. Food-grade USP sodium hydroxide is a strong alkaline base, also called ‘lye’, which is necessary when mixing oils. This process neutralizes ‘lye’ and oils, resulting in a salt known as ‘soap’. Lye is also used in food processing, such as curing olives and making toothpaste, as well as giving shine to German Bagels
  • Sodium hydroxide, food-grade USP, is a strong alkaline compound used to saponify soap. It is also used in food processing, such as curing olives and making toothpaste, as well as giving shine to German Bagels. This same lye turns oils into soap. When an acid and a base (oil/fat) combine, they neutralize each other and make a salt called “Soap.”

Usage Tips:

  • It can be used on both the face and body.
  • For best results on dark spots, leave the lather on for a few minutes to act as a mask.
