Are products natural, and what does that mean?
All Products are natural. Our oils, butters, clays, essential oils, and herbs, are certified N0n-GMO; sourced from around the world, and approved by the US Dept of Agriculture.
I can guarantee there are no dyes, no synthetics, or cloned fragrances. Every single ingredient, including the sodium hydroxy, can be used in cooking. All of my ingredients are food-grade, that's what that means.
Why Use lye in soap?
Food-grade sodium hydroxide is a strong alkaline compound that is used for the process of saponifying soap; it is used in food processing like curing olives, toothpaste, and giving shine to German Bagels. It is this same lye, that turns oils into soap. When an acid and a base (oil/fat) combine they neutralize each other and make a salt called “Soap”.
What are Organic products, and is Soaps Creams & Things
Organic material is either food or herb sources that do not use pesticides, but it takes it a step further. Now herbs that are Organic must be certified that the 'seeds' is Non-GMO seeds. Depending on the botanical, some plants are young plants that have stronger properties or older plants that need to mature for full potency.
Soaps Creams &Things sources ingredients that are organic when possible. Many countries have different standards of what organic is. If the organic standard does not come close to USA then we use ingredients that are ensured to be of the highest quality during the harvest seasons.
Because of the nature of our products and today's CoVid 19 issues; all sales are final. However, if a product is defective, an exchange for like or equal value products will be applied. Contact us and we can work it out.
